At last, I have emerged from the studio with a new exhibition of my paintings. the exhibition is named "Old Roads and Tall Stories" it opens THIS FRIDAY NIGHT 12th OCTOBER 2012 6:00pm - 8:00pm Clovely Estate Wines Cellar Door 210 Musgrave Road, Red Hill Brisbane Ph 3876 3100 All welcome, I'd love to see your friendy faces again. I have had a couple of interesting trips out west, but more about those later. I want to thank everyone that has stayed in-touch with me since the closing of Martin Galleries in April 2011, life is certainly different now. I miss the contact and the shared love of art. I have been working on commissions, which has kept the bread on the table, but I'm more excited about the work I do for the sake of creating it. You can see that I have been working with traditional subject matter, and I have to say "it has been very enjoyable even though it is not my main style". Old Roads and Tall Stories is a collection of works that respond to the stories I heard from the viewers of my Road Trip exhibition. Clovely Estate Cellar Door I am very privileged to be the 'Artist in Residence' for Clovely Estate Wines, the venue is very stylish and perfect for showing my paintings. I hope that you find the time to come along and view my latest works. The exhibition runs from 12 October until 6 November, but there are some functions on during this time, so it is best to phone the Cellar Door on 3876 3100 to check when they are open. Saturday 20th October I will be painting onsite at the Cellar Door, 210 Musgrave Road Red Hill from 11:00am until 4:00pm on Saturday 20th October. Please feel free to come along and see a major work being created, see the story evolve as it happens. Sample the very wide range of wine and enjoy the exhibition at Clovely Estate's Cellar Door.
