Join artist Ash Keating on a guided bus tour to Truganina, The Substation and MUMA
Join Ash Keating on a guided bus tour to Truganina, in Melbourne's western suburbs, the site of Ash's commissioned project for Monash University Museum of Art's new exhibition Artists' Proof #1, followed by a visit to The Substation, Newport, where Ash was the successful recipient of The Substation Contemporary Art Prize 2012.
From The Substation continue via bus to MUMA to view Artists' Proof #1. The inaugural edition of a new exhibition series, Artists' Proof #1 explores current positions in contemporary art through new commissions by nine outstanding contemporary artists including: Sarah Byrne, Alicia Frankovich, Newell Harry, Joyce Hinterding, David Jolly, Jonathan Jones, Ash Keating, Elizabeth Newman and Rose Nolan. Keating's project for Artists' Proof #1 is a multi-screen video installation documenting the painting performance/intervention undertaken on a tilt-slab building at Truganina.
Joined by MUMA curators, Ash Keating will introduce and discuss his work at each venue.
The bus will leave from the CBD at 11am and depart MUMA at 3.30pm to return to the CBD by 4.00pm.
Artists' Proof #1 is supported by the Victorian Government through Arts Victoria
