Opening Reception - Saturday, October
13, 2012 - 3-6 pm
Opening Reception for exhibitions at
INDEXG main gallery, front gallery and the newly launched East Window.
Please join us and meet the artists
thinkin’ one thing
and doin’ another Jose Ortega's
Solo exhibition at INDEXG (main gallery) Exhibition runs
through 18 Nov, 2012
Each piece in this series of paint and collage on
wood and cardboard is improvised from the first step, often a single shape
or brush stroke, until the end where a narrative reveals itself. The
process is inspired by music, jazz in particular, as well as discarded
newspapers, chain store circulars and textile designs. Each piece is
approached as a song with rhythm, color, patterns, harmony and a story.
Metal Sculpture by Rene Zamic,
INDEXG, the East Window. Exhibition runs
through 30 December, 2012. The newly launched East Window at INDEXG, will
be dedicated for showcasing sculptural works with a monthly program starts
2013.
Garden of
Delights by Juana Zuniga.
INDEXG, front gallery. Exhibition runs through 18 Nov, 2012.
Always experimenting and moving between the media
of sculpture, collage and paint, Zuniga's work is a colourful prism of
magical scenes reminiscent of a children's storybook, depicting secret and
wonderful gardens made of fabric and paints where snakes and plants dance
and sway with wide open eyes. |
