Art Speaks is a public talk programme by Art Stage Singapore, which focuses on introducing contemporary artists and their inspiring projects to the general public.
Art Speaks @ ARCHIFEST 2012 will be focusing on the theme of art and the urban landscape, as part of Archifest’s fringe programme this year.
How can art transform a space? One such possibility is by inducing a simple visual aesthetic that enhances a public space’s functionality thus integrating societies into a city and later to involve the whole nation even.
Art Speaks aims to urge city dwellers to re-evaluate public spaces and the role of a society, so as to maximise the personal and public realm and ultimately, to rethink Singapore as a whole.
Art Speaks is pleased to present two Asian artists to share their projects - Michael Lee and Sherman Ong.
Held by Art Stage Singapore, this is a fringe programme under Archifest 2012.
The third edition of Art Stage Singapore will be taking place at Marina Bay Sands from 24 – 27 January 2013.
