Bradley senior to give recital
Peoria, IL (October 15, 2012) Soprano Emily Volz, a music education
major at Bradley University, will present her senior recital at Dingeldine
Music Center on Friday, October 26, at 7:30 p.m. The performance is free and
open to the public.
The program will feature works by Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo
Puccini, Richard Strauss, Joaquin Rodrigo, Gaetano Donizetti, Gabriel Fauré and
American composers Dominic Argento, Gwyneth Walker and Leonard Bernstein. Volz will
be joined by pianist Andrea Molina.
Volz is the daughter of Kent and Julie Volz of Metamora. A student of Dr. Kerry Walters of the Bradley music
faculty, she is very active as a soloist both on and off campus. She is currently a member of the
Bradley Chorale and sang with the Bradley Chamber Singers for two years.
