BLYTHE PROJECTS’ INNOVATIVE NOMADIC GALLERY MAKING INDELIBLE IMPRESSIONS!

The Leading-Edge Gallery’s Exhibits at Various Eclectic Venues Are Showcasing Some of the Most Exciting Art in the Market Today

(Los Angeles, CA) October 10, 2012 – Blythe Projects, which was established by Hillary Metz in 2009, is taking a groundbreaking approach to the art gallery world. The gallery’s transcendent aesthetic and commitment to works of contemporary interest are not tied to a permanent gallery space, but rather hosts acclaimed exhibitions within eclectic spaces—such as Andaz West Hollywood, Sunset Marquis, private homes of notable art collectors, and other distinguished venues—that reflect an artist’s specific ethos. The result is a gallery experience that is consummately unique, adventurous, and extraordinary for collectors and enthusiasts.

Metz closed her physical gallery space in December 2011 and began her nomadic approach to the gallery world in January 2012. Blythe Projects orchestrated a string of successful shows across the world. These included:

VOLTA New York
Solo exhibition with light artist James Clar in March 2012

Art Dubai
Site-specific installation with James Clar in March 2012

Dallas Art Fair
Exhibited California artists Larry Mullins, David Kimball Anderson, and Leonardo Bravo in April 2012

Los Angeles
Midsummer's Night Revel with 'Culture Witch' and multi-media artist Erika Wanenmacher in August 2012

Ojai
Shamanic Studies Intensive in August 2012

Peru
Shamanic Studies Intensive and a week with the Shipibo weavers in the Amazon in August 2012

Blythe Projects’ next show will be held at Miami Project December 4-9 where several artists will be featured including internationally acclaimed artist, painter and sculptor Lita Albuquerque and renowned artist Todd Gray, whose work is in the collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and Studio Museum in Harlem.

“This new way of operating a gallery and orchestrating shows is absolutely liberating,” says Metz. “The world has become our gallery space. We now have no boundaries or limits as to how we can showcase an artist’s brilliance.”
