The Interesting mix of Peace activists collaborating with contemporary artists created a unique buzz that would be hard to find anywhere else during Frieze week. To view some of the works on sale .   Artist collaboration kennardphillipps, working since 2002 to produce art in response to the invasion of Iraq, is issuing a run of 100 signed posters (49 x 49cm) of 'Photo Op' for £35 each and donating all the proceeds to The Halabja Community Playground Project.  For all sales enquiries please contact ben@artbelow.org.uk                                                                  kennardphillips 'Photo Op'    Over the last few days there has been talks and screenings by Peace activists including founder of the Peace Plinths Maria Gallastegui, Simon Moore - the man behind Kew Eco Village and Democracy Village, (see clip here), Dean Puckett maker of 'Crisis of Civialisation, and most recently 'Grasp the nettle' Rikki Blue, maker of 'SOCPA The Movie', and founder of The Halabja Community Playground Project, Tam Carrigan.    This evening from 7pm   Emily Johns will show images and talk about working as an artist and as an activist.  kennardphillipps will talk about their work.  Entry is free.   Emily Johns is a printmaker who studied geography at Durham and immediately afterwards studied fine art at Goldsmiths because pictures seemed to be the right medium in which to think about geography. Her work has its political roots in over 20 years of work on wars in Iraq, the Iran crisis and how geopolitics and oil have coagulated. She also co-edits Peace News.
