The Model rewarded new RAISE initative
More than 60 arts organisations applied to participate in the project, and the final eight organisations went through a rigorous selection process. With the help of the RAISE pilot project The Model will be given the tools, skills and resources to increase very significantly the investment we get from private sources.
âThe Model has worked diligently to receive the RAISE programme. This initiative adds new energy into our future programme and direction. The Model is one of only eight organisations in the country to receive this new initiative, and feels that our hard work has paid off in this capacityâ.

JO NESBO'S JACKPOT
Nov Thurs. 01 at 8pm, Sun. 04 at 3pm, Wed. 07 at 8pm
This fiendishly black comedy-thriller is at the very least, an awful warning of what can happen when you strike it big on the fooball pools. Mild mannered Oscar (Kyrre Hellum) is the floor manger at a rural manufacturing plant which also employs a number of ex cons and shady characters. As the movie begins however, our hapless protagonist is the sole survivor of a bloody shoot-out in a remote sex shop-where and how did it all go so terribly wrong? If the idea of a Guy Ritche/Tarantino mash up sounds appealing, then Jo Nesbos Jackpot is definitely a film for you.

THE UNDERTONES
Saturday Nov. 24 at 10pm.
The Iconic punk and rock band from Derry join us for the final night of this yearâs North West Film and Music Fest.
Much loved by John Peel, and originally fronted by Feargal Sharkey â the band reconvened in 2003 with original members John and Damian OâNeill, Michael Bradley, Billy Doherty and Paul McLoone replacing Sharkey. Their signature tune is âTeenage Kicksâ but the band have recorded other notable songs such as âGet Over Youâ, âItâs Going To Happenâ, âYou Got My Numberâ, âChain Of Loveâ, âMy Perfect Cousinâ and âWednesday Weekâ.
âPaul McLooneâs electric onstage presence more than makes up for Sharkeyâs absenceâ
This is going to be the gig of the year in Sligo. Tickets are limited â Book as soon as you can!!
The Undertones deliver precisely what is expected of them - urgent, no messing about, two-and-a-half-minute stabs of jumpy punk pop. Bang. - clashmusic.com
