Thanks to generous support from Perforce Software, Rhythmix Cultural Works (RCW) is partnering with AUSD to support arts education by offering professional assembly performances at no cost to schools. The PAL program will provide opportunities for approximately 900 3rd & 4th grade students to experience high quality and culturally-diverse music, dance, and theater productions in the RCW Theater. Participating artists will provide two back-to-back assemblies on each day, hosting 150 students at each performace. Schools will be responsible for transporting students to and from RCW. The PAL program will also encourage students to explore Rhythmix as a community arts resource.

About Rhythmix
In 2007, Rhythmix Cultural Works community art center opened its doors with a range of affordable offerings in dance, music, theater, exhibitions and arts education. To date, RCW productions have collectively served around 25,000 visitors with world music, classical, jazz and theater, featuring local, national and international artists. Rhythmix Cultural Works now serves as a cultural hub for Alameda, offering youth, families and adults exposure to culturally diverse arts programming not previously available to its residents.
Perforce Software's support will jumpstart the first three performances in the PAL program and RCW hopes to find additional funding and sponsorships in order to continue offering these unique, free performances. Sponsorship will fund artists, production costs, and administrative fees in 2013. For more information on funding opportunities contact info@rhythmix.org
