Bob Briddick was born in Dallas Texas and came to Houston in 1974 where he started work at the Decorative Center on Woodway managing show rooms and working with the artists, architects, and decorators in the decorative trade for the last 40 years.

During that time Briddick made hundreds of collages at home in his spare time never intending to show his efforts to anyone, but since retiring from the design trade the artist has had more time to devote to his secret passion and in short we were really blown away with his work when he brought it into the gallery. His sincerity is evident in every piece, while his collage technique is accumulate.

Every work reflects his careful attention to detail, a sense of humor, and an extensive knowledge of the "art world" he is about to engage.

On Friday November 2nd a collection of 54 pieces curated from several hundred works available will be our first in a series of three day "pop-up" exhibitions at d. m. allison art, with a preview reception that evening from 6 to 9 PM. The pieces will be offered at $150 and $250.

On Saturday Nov. 3 the gallery will have the works on display from 11 AM to 5 PM with an opening reception for the artist from 6 to 9 PM, as well as Sunday from Noon to 3 PM. The exhibition will be for 3 days only and the artist will be present at the receptions as well as Sunday from Noon to 3 PM. The public is invited.
