Half Term Workshop: Fanzine

1-5pm daily
Over a period of three afternoons at the gallery the project room will become a publishing house for the creation of a Pump House Gallery Fanzine. You will get the chance to be hands on with a variety of methods including collage, mono printing, photography, drawing and Photoshop.

Cross Stitch an Ad

Inspired by the counting and calculating of the exhibition Beauty is the First Test, plan and create something a bit different than the usual Cross- Stitch! Got something to say or a favorite slogan? - stitch it. Outcomes from the Alternative Cross Stitch workshop will also feature in the "advertising pages" of the Pump House Gallery Fanzine, made in the week prior to this event.

Number Narratives

Numbers aren't all about maths, since ancient times different people have believed that certain numbers are lucky or that they have special powers. Drop-in and learn about alternative meanings of numbers. Then pick a number that you find particularly interesting and using screen printing, create a poster of your magic number to take home with you.

We're holding Sunday Socials every Sunday throughout Beauty is the First Test. They are a chance to pop in and get hands on with some craft making. These are volunteer led events. Tea and coffee available. Bring your own cake!
