Poetry reading planned at Bradley University
Peoria, IL (October 23, 2012) Poet Beckian Fritz Goldberg
will present a reading of her work on November 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Wyckoff
Room of the Cullom-Davis Library at Bradley University. The reading, presented by Bradley’s Visiting Writers Series,
is free and open to the public.
Goldberg is the author of
several poetry volumes: Reliquary Fever:
New and Selected Poems (New Issues, 2010), The Book of Accident (University of Akron Press, 2006), Lie Awake Lake (Oberlin College Press,
2005), Twentieth Century Children, a
limited edition chapbook, (Graphic Design Press, Indiana University, 1999), Never Be the Horse (University of Akron
Press, 1999), In the Badlands of Desire
(Cleveland State University Press, 1993), and Body Betrayer (Cleveland State UP, 1991).
Her work has appeared widely in
anthologies and journals including, The
American Poetry Review, The Best American Poetry 1995, Field, The Gettysburg
Review, Harper's, Indiana Review, The Iowa Review, New American Poets of
The 90s, and American Alphabets:
25 Contemporary American Poets. Among her numerous awards and honors are
the Theodore Roethke Poetry Prize, The
Gettysburg Review Annual Poetry Award, The University of Akron Press Poetry
Prize, The Field Poetry Prize, and a
Pushcart Prize. Goldberg teaches creative writing at Arizona State University.
