If you have ever wanted to know how to get the most out of Photoshop, this is the place to start. From making the perfect scan through image manipulation and special effects to the final print out, the course will ensure you are confident in handling the basic functions of this powerful program.

The Australian Centre for Photography Summer Season 2013 will be opening from 1 December 2012. The season comprises of four exhibitions by artists Ann Shelton, Robert Besanko, Darragh O'Callaghan and David Sudmalis and René Norwie. Showcasing a range of photography from an emerging artist through to senior established photographers. In this e-news we feature two of the exhibitions with the following two to be featured in our December edition.
IN A FOREST
Ann Shelton
At the 1936 Berlin Olympics, seedlings were given to gold medallists as gifts. These trees have since been dubbed 'Hitler oaks'. Renowned New Zealand artist Ann Shelton traces the trees and researches their histories, assembling a record of them through her photographs.
CONCEIVING THE MATERNAL
René Norwie
With her series Conceiving the Maternal, emerging visual artist René Norwie reflects on the status, roles and responsibilities society assigns to mothers. In her first solo show, Norwie aims to initiate an open and frank conversation about what it means for women to take on the role of motherhood.
