PRINTMAKING: Number Narratives
17 November 2012
On Sunday 18 November 2012:
SUNDAY SOCIAL: Funky felt & fantastic fabric workshop
1 - 4pm
Numbers aren't all about maths. Since ancient times, different people have believed that certain numbers are lucky or that they have special powers. Drop-in and learn about alternative meanings of numbers, then pick a number that you find particularly interesting and using various printing methods, create a poster of your magic number to take home with you. FREE
A chance to pop in and get hands on with some craft making. A volunteer-led event with tea and coffee available - bring your own cake! This week make a beautiful customised felt necklace - great to jazz up any tired looking outfit and a cute fabric covered mirror - a must have accessory for every handbag.
Monthly Do: Peanut Portraits
For the third workshop of their participatory photography commission, BBKP invite you to build a nutty camera yourself and learn how to develop photographic paper. PLEASE NOTE: Real peanuts will be used in this workshop so those allergic to peanuts are advised not to attend.
All events are FREE drop-in activities. All ages welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult.
