A discussion of ideas for the future of coastal New York, with a focus on the Lower East Side/Two Bridges Neighborhood, and issues confronting all five boroughs. Panelists: Tom Angiotti, Susannah Drake, Alexander J. Felson, Claire Weisz.
Moderated by Cassim Shepard. Hosted by Two Bridges Neighborhood Council, Cooper Union Institute for Sustainable Design, and the Architectural League of New York. Reservations required at

As part of a larger initiative to build meaningful connections between the arts, sustainability and community development, LMCC is partnering with Hester Street Collaborative, Two Bridges Neighborhood Council, and the Lower East Side
Waterfront Alliance on several projects over the next few years.

A Warm Farewell to ACC Fellow Kyoco Taniyama
Asian Cultural Council Fellow Kyoco Taniyama is returning to Tokyo, Japan at the end of this month. During her ACC fellowship at LMCC, Taniyama developed sculptural work in her studio at Governors Island, met with artists and arts
professionals based in the New York City area, and participated in two of LMCC's Open Studios events. Before returning to Japan, Taniyama will exhibit work with fellow LMCC artists-in-residence in a group show at
Westbeth Gallery from January 17-27, 2013.
