did you know?
detroit contemporary hosted fellow CAID division, DBC, throughout 2010, to film it's first production of 13-episodes, Tonight@theCAID - a web-broadcast, Detroit-based, talk show hosted by Detroit's own and beloved Torya Blanchard and Lauren Hood. DBC is now in the process of producing it's second endeavor, a sitcom called Lambert Street.  The first episodes will appear as a play this month at the Planet Ant Theater in Hamtamck, MI.  Performances run for three weekends from January 18th through February 2nd, 2013...

Lambert Street is inspired by the politically charged
1970's TV show "All in the Family".
Through conversations among the various characters, the showreveals the intricate so economical dynamics of Detroit and the joys and tensions shared among its residents, those who stayed and those who have returned or have moved to the city for the first time. This show will provide a comedic, yet heartfelt look at Detroit's future, present and past using the backdrop of an ordinary city street and its residents.

January 18th - February 29th, 2013
