26 January - 12 May 2013
I haven’t had a TV for 25 years. We come to the theatre as often as we can [Geoff Gordon], 2012
Hi
Very Happy New Year, and wishing 2013 is a good year!
I have a new exhibition opening at The Lowry, Salford on 24 January 2013, 6-8pm.
I was commissioned by The Lowry to produce 19 new artworks for the exhibition called Centre Stage: Portraits of a Lowry Audience opening between Sat 26 January – Sun 12 May 2013. The show is a joint exhibition with myself and filmmaker Hilary Easter-Jones, which captures audience members who attend the theatre and gallery there, and explores their motivations for doing so through photography and video.
Kate Farrell, the exhibition curator says: "Centre Stage offers a unique opportunity for us to work with and get to know some of our incredible audience members, placing them at the heart of the artistic programme within a series of beautiful film and photographic portraits.I hope everyone who visits will find a story, memory or characteristic they can relate to, whilst appreciating the visual impact of these stunning works of art".
