OPENING RECEPTION: Thursday, February 21st, 6:30-8:30pm
New York, NY-  Ground Arts Organization presents M.O. (Modus Operandi), a group exhibition featuring three artists of different disciplines whose work is heavily process driven .  Annell Livingston, Steven Peters, and Erik Patton were chosen as winners from the Summer 2012 Competition, by juror and New York Arts Magazine executive editor Jason Stopa.  Each artist’s process is multilayered, exploring construction and deconstruction, while being guided by the openness and limitations of medium.

“I am Afghanistan” Project
The Ground Arts Organization brought art supplies to, and painted with the children at Le Pelican School in Dash e Barchi in Northern Kabul, home to the largest population of Hazara in the world.
Come see some of the paintings made by the Hazara children, and a preview of our upcoming fundraiser coming to Ground Arts this summer,  at Pepe Giallo, until February 20th, located at 253 10th Ave, New York, NY 10001.
The goal of this project is to exhibit the children’s artwork, and return the proceeds to fund an art school where the children will have a safe place to continue their creative evolution.

CALL TO ARTISTS

The “Home” Exhibition is a collaboration between Ground Arts and Art Start. The mission is to encourage dialogue between the creative works of Art Start students and established artists.  The purpose of the "Home" exhibition is to raise money to help Art Start open an artistic workspace and mentorship program in Chelsea for their students.

Our collaborating organization, Art Start, has worked for 21 years with homeless children and helped them move toward creating a better life through creative expression.  As a result, it is our pleasure to support Art Start's efforts.

We are encouraging artists to interpret and create a piece of artwork that is inspired by their concept of "Home", to be included in the exhibition
