PHOTOFILE MAGAZINE TO RE-LAUNCH
ON SALE 1 MARCH 2013
The Australian Centre for Photography is relaunching the regionâs oldest art magazine seriously dedicated to photography, Photofile.
Last seen in late 2010, Photofile will mark its thirtieth year in 2013 with new print and digital versions in March and September.
Edited by Michael Fitzgerald (managing editor of Art & Australia from 2008 to 2012) and designed by Robbie Whitehead (Apartamento magazine), Photofile will be available in selected bookstores, art galleries and specialty shops in Australia and New Zealand, and will be distributed internationally.
The much-anticipated first issue goes on sale Friday, 1 March 2013, with a cover price of AU$19.95 and NZ$23.
About Photofile
Begun as a small community newspaper in 1973 and most recently seen as a large-format magazine, Photofile has grown to reflect the shifting forms and contexts of photography.
Exquisitely designed and employing all that is excellent in writing, editing and production, the new Photofile will imaginatively ponder photographyâs past, present and future in ways that will surprise, stimulate and illuminate.
