The evening event, along with the daytime Early Access Preview at Piers 92 and 94, benefits exhibition programming for The Museum of Modern Art and MoMA PS1. WHO: Solange will perform live in MoMA's Agnes Gund Garden Lobby. Solange's latest single, the critically acclaimed "Losing You," was named the 7th best single of 2012 by the Village Voice's Pazz & Jop critics' poll, and the 16th best song of 2012 by Pitchfork. Along with her success as a DJ, Solange previously released two albums, Solo Star (2003) and Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams (2008), which entered the top ten of Billboard's 200 chart. Harley Viera-Newton will DJ the event. WHEN: Wednesday, March 6, 2013. The party runs from 9:00 p.m. to midnight, and features a VIP Hour from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. The VIP Hour features access to MoMA's sixth-floor galleries and a meet-and-greet with the 2013 Armory Show's commissioned artist, Liz Magic Laser, in addition to access to The Armory Party at 9:00 p.m. WHERE: The Museum of Modern Art 11 West 53 Street TICKETS: Tickets for the benefit range from $150 to $750, and may be purchased by visiting MoMA.org, calling MoMA's Department of Special Programming and Events at (212) 708-9680, or e-mailing specialevents@moma.org.
