A Double Bill of Visionary Soul and Ground-breaking Hip Hop

This double bill features powerful female artists fronting live bands: the earthy soul duo from New Zealand, Fredericks Brown, and the provocative and witty hip hop emcee Jean Grae.

Comprised of Deva Mahal and Stephanie Brown, Fredericks Brown will present work from their upcoming release, reflecting an eclectic mix of blues and Pacific infused soul, as well as classics from their highly celebrated debut album Out of the Rain. Joined by DJ Mr. Len (Company Flow), Jean Grae and her band The Wait A Minutes will perform songs from her new album Cake or Death as well as songs from her extensive catalog.

Doors open at 7:00pm for a chance to mix and mingle, grab some food and drink.
Performance followed by a dance party spun by DJ Mr. Len.

Uptown Nights concerts are presented in cabaret seating with food and drink available for purchase.
