Student to Give Trombone Recital
Peoria, IL (February 14, 2013) Michael Archer, a
junior music performance and music business major at Bradley University, will
present a trombone recital on Friday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m., in the Dingeldine
Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. Admission is free and open to
the public.
The recital will feature compositions by Georg
Philipp Telemann, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Steve Reich, Eric Ewazen, Arthur
Pryor, and others. Archer also will play two of his own arrangements of music
by Steve Reich, and of music from the video game Donkey Kong Country.
Archer, son of Robert and Cynthia Archer of West
Peoria, is a 2010 graduate of Richwoods High School. He is a student of Ryan Miller of the Bradley music faculty,
and is preparing for a career in trombone performance.
