This graphically bold, almost architectural photograph of a woman seen from behind executing a sensual hip-sway dance move in a clingy garment projects both power and femininity, fantasy and warm confidence. As a formal matter, the jaunty classicism of the black-and-white image at life-size scale hits a note somewhere between painting and photography.
