Wouldnât it be good to bundle up all the photos you took on your trip to the Venice Biennale into something a little nicer than a photo album? Something like a zine? Yes, yes it would! Iâd also like a service like Instagram that allows me shoot live events without spamming my followers with ten shots from the same place. And if someone could magically allow my friends to add to the zine, thatâd be awesome too.
I just downloaded KYUR8, a zine app that allows me to do all of that.

Those looking for a brief reprieve from contemporary culture may find solace in the New Museumâs â1993: Experimental Jet Set, Trash, No Star.â The show surveys the New York art world in 1993, which as this show tells it, may not be much better than what weâve got now, but was at least more open about its displeasure with the status quo. It is a raw, imperfect exhibition whose narrative is unusually informed by the route one takes through the museum, and it is worth every minute you can spend on it.

In honor of The Armoryâs 100th anniversary, I do a short comparison of the Armory Fair, then and now. I wonât spoil the results, but it probably wonât come as any surprise that I think the current version of the fair could do better.
