Discover the Lower East Side!

NOoSPHERE is delighted to be one of over FIFTY galleries that will host receptions welcoming Armory Arts Week visitors to New York City's most vibrant neighborhood, the Lower East Side.
For our current show I Am My World, which combines painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and installation, the NYC curator David Gibson has paired 10 Norwegian artists with 10 New Yorkers. The theme of the exhibit is The Self as subject matter: with various degrees of directness, these artists all use themselves as the point of departure for exploring issues of identity and finding one's place in the world. (Full curatorial statement available here)
Curator David Gibson will be on site during the gallery stroll, as will several of the exhibiting artists – come meet the people behind this intriguing exhibit!
