Rinus Van AlebeekWed., March 13 @ 7:30 PMJack Straw Productions When Rinus van Alebeek arrives in Seattle, he will just have concluded a period of forty days on a ranch in Sonoma county. He can tell those present at the Composers Spotlight if he succeeded in writing the book, and how it was to work on it. He will present some themes he wanted to write about: on how language came into existence, or on how to experience sound. Jack Straw Productions and WCF present a free public presentation by a composer or performer on the second Wednesday of each month. Refreshments follow. more
The next few weeks offer a number of calls for scores, including several presented by WCF which allow composers to submit scores online instantly. Many more calls are on the WCF site.
Pianist Corey Hamm's call for scores results to be announced shortly.
