National Campaign for the Arts (NCFA) Table Quiz 2013
The National Campaign for the Arts (NCFA) today announced details of its upcoming NCFA TABLE QUIZ, which will take place on Thursday April 18, to raise funds for activities in 2013.
As part of its year-round campaign to ensure that the arts are on local and national government agendas and are recognised as a vital part of contemporary Irish life, the NCFA are hosting a culturally flavoured table quiz at Yamamori Restaurant, Ormond Quay Lower, Dublin 1 on Thursday April 18 (doors 7.30pm). Members of the public are invited to come along, show off their cultural knowledge and win some great prizes along the way, all in aid of a good cause.
Broadcaster Sean Rocks, presenter of RTE Radio One’s Arena, will be QuestionMaster on the night.
Teams of four can book their place for the event at www.projectartscentre.ie.

ABOUT THE NATIONAL CAMPAIGN FOR THE ARTS
The National Campaign for the Arts (NCFA) is a broad and inclusive coalition of people and organisations who value the arts, which includes members of National Cultural Institutions, major festivals, venues and representative organisations across all art forms, individual artists and members of the public.
Established in 2009 as a response to the McCarthy Report, the NCFA is a volunteer-led, grass roots movement that makes the case for the arts in Ireland, promoting the value of the arts and campaigning for sustained engagement with and investment in the arts. It is governed by a National Steering Committee and is supported by a number of sub-committees and a network of Constituency Co-ordinators.
The NCFA also launches NCFA Colloquia, a series of conversations specially devised to challenge and change how we think and speak about the arts and arts policy in April. This series is a response to the lack of adequate research on the arts and cultural activity in Ireland. The NCFA Strategy on Research along with a brief position paper making a case for an improved evidence base on which to build better policy-making for the arts is available now on www.ncfa.ie
