April 11, Santa Fe New Mexico Santa Fes own multiple award-winning
photographer/artist Harvey Lloyd has captured our world through the lens of
imagination and quantum mechanics.
Representative
of humanitys rapidly growing ability to witness our world through new eyes, this
one-man exhibition will be on display in a show entitled LAS VEGAS DECONSTRUCTED opening on April 13, and running through May 4, 2013 at Artistic
Lifestyles Gallery in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The series shows, through digital paintings, our world of contemporary
art blending both realism and post impressionism. Lloyd has invented and utilizes a complex
single exposure technique to create these works.
The artists camera transformed by digital
technology enables a viewer to see what was previously invisible, says Lloyd.
Reality must be reexamined. The hidden manifestations of the beauty, wonders
and magic of the universe wait to be gazed upon, and all those who are forever
young in heart and spirit will audaciously voyage to the frontiers of the unexplored
and infinite world of light, says Mr. Lloyd.
Now
living and working from his studio in Santa Fe, Mr. Lloyd is a pioneer in
aerial and adventure photography, having traveled over a million and a half
miles during photo missions on seven continents. His adventurous spirit has him hanging out of
helicopters, flying The Dead Mans Curve over the worlds most famous
landmarks. His motto is, If your life
bores you, risk it.
According to
David Finn, Chairman of the worldwide firm, Ruder Finn Public Relations, New
York, Harvey Lloyd has entered a new creative phase of his life. He is using his photographic mind and his
computer skills to create images that are unlike anything ever seen
before. His is exploring new horizons in
the creative world and producing spectacular creations that dazzle the eye.
Born in New York City, and formerly based in
Manhattan, Lloyd now works from his studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he
energetically explores, reinvents and races beyond the boundaries of the
traditional art of photography.
Awards
Mr. Lloyd is a multiple
award winner in almost every category of the visual arts through his aerial
photography, picture books, documentary films and multi-screen shows. Included
in these are the Pacific Area Travel Association's Gold medal for photography
of China, The Art Director's Club Gold and Silver medals for the Royal Viking
Line advertising campaign, a Cine Golden Eagle, a Mercurio d'Oro from the
Venice Industrial Film Festival for PORTRAIT OF A RAILROAD shown at MOMA, NYC,
and the Grand AwardPhoto Essays from the German magazine Bilderzeit.
