Some viewers may guess that Richard employs a printmaking or silkscreen process. Others may mistake the process for a Polaroid transfer or cibrachrome print. But in fact, the illusion of relief is achieved with a very thin application of gesso followed by layers of acrylic paint on 100% rag Stonehenge paper or wood panels.

Don't miss this exhibit!

"I get a visceral reaction from viewing these pieces."

"Richard's artwork is ineffably evocative."

Swing into Spring!

Feel like dancing? The second season of the Arts Alive series kicks up its heels on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, with an “Evening of Swing” at the Starlite Ballroom, Fearless Fire Company, 1221 South Front Street, in Allentown, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The Allentown Area Swing Dance Society will present a short history on the evolution of swing dance before the attendees join the society’s weekly dance party for swing lessons and dancing.

The Lehigh Valley Arts Council created the Arts Alive series for those arts enthusiasts who are eager to rub shoulders with the creative process. The event is limited to twenty-five people and registration is required. The fee is $10 for Arts Council members, $15 for nonmembers. Tickets and more information are available at www.LVArtsBoxOffice.org
