i've spent the last couple of months crocheting
like a mad man and i'm ready to announce these exciting
events + exhibitions:
april 27
imperfect gallery
will be hosting a fiber arts extravaganza at their space in the germantown neighborhood of philadelphia.

may 1 – june 2
offering
offering is a site specific performance and installation piece at
3rd street gallery during the month of may, 2013. the large scale installation consists of a pile of crocheted stones in the gallery that mimic the offerings we leave for religious deities, for the dead and for marking our way home. during the month, i will be on site wednesdays, thursdays and fridays from noon until 3pm crocheting new rocks to add to the pile that i have been working on since developing the concept
after the death of my girlfriend, melissa benner.

mount pleasant: historic colonial home in fairmount park
the philadelphia museum of art cares for and provides tours in this historically significant architectural gem in the heart of fairmount park, overlooking the schuylkill river. in the coming weeks i will be yarnbombing portions of the home, both inside and out. additionally, there will be soft sculpture on display in the most firey of places. stay tuned for more information.

art about town in westport, ct
i've really been enjoying being associated with rockwell art galleries located throughout connecticut for the last few months and am happy to announce that i will be showing pieces from hell in their westport location very soon. additionally, I will be doing some live yarnbombing for this fun event. join me if your local!

cake!
i am so excited to announce that my new work, cake!, will be showing at the philadelphia international airport in terminal D.
so if you happen to be flying Delta, United, Air Canada or Alaskan Air in the next six months you'll be in for a really sweet treat. and if you find yourself at the airport, in general, leave yourself some extra time and take a walk over there. it's sure to delight.
