âSculpting Yourselfâ
Workshop with Carole A. Feuerman
Date: Sunday, April 21st, 2pm
Location: HVCCA, 1701 Main Street, Peekskill, NY
Open to all ages, this is your chance to cast and sculpt a realistic impression of the imagination with hyper-realistic sculptor,
Carole A. Feuerman!
Feuerman's sculpture at Riverfront Green Park, The Golden Mean, 2012, in bronze with black patina and gold leaf, marks Peekskill as an art destination. A fast favorite among area residents, this monumental work activates the urban environment and its inhabitants through its site-specific installation. Two years and more than 8,000 hours in the making, the work is part of a series of swimmers and bathers that Feuerman began in the late seventies. It is an icon of the strength and resilience of the human spirit to reach and to achieve.
Learn the process and vision that went into the production of this work and the techniques of casting and mold making. You will be able to sculpt your own realistic work of art.
