My name is David Díez and I am an architect and a photographer.

We are interested in collaboration with one image by Bas Jan Ader. We  
will try to capture very same image but allow ourselves to reinterpret  
it in each case.
Our purpose is not to copy his work. We want to pay tribute to the  
sensibilities of the artists who created the images that now  
constitute our references.
And we really would like to get your permission. If you don't own the  
right of image maybe you can share information how we can get this  
kind of permission

I would to introduce you to my new project, a result of my  
experimentation and concern, based on reliable and professional work.  
I would love to get your permission to use one of your photographs as  
part of the visual references that I admire and will serve as the  
starting point of our work.
The Twin is the name of the project is and its main aim is the  
reconstruction of beauty.

A professional team is working in project. They will document and  
reproduce a selection of 100 photographs. Original stages and costumes  
will be recreated and we will shoot their pictures with the same  
framing and focal distance. We will try to capture your very same  
image but allow ourselves to reinterpret it in each case. Our purpose  
is not to copy your work. We want to pay tribute to the sensibilities  
of the artists who, like you, created the images that now constitute  
our references.

In essence, we look for connections between the different concepts of  
beauty contained in each one of the images.

The selection process has been a hard work. We chose a hundred  
pictures out of more than 10.000 images that
we had gathered.

These 100 final images sustain the references that interest us the  
most and establish the kind of connections among them that we are  
looking for and that I personally share and identify with.

You are one of the authors that we admire, respect, and deem your work  
as important. Hence, we are seeking your permission to incorporate  
your artwork as reference and show it as such.

Our project website address is detailed below and we invite you to  
check it for further information. Through this site the whole series  
will be exhibited on a temporal basis while its process lasts. The  
work will fill up progressively as the selected images are taken.  
Right now just the original selected images, among which you can find  
your can be seen on the site.
