Painting the Still Life from Life with Maralyn Adlin

Join Maralyn Adlin (B.F.A Pratt Institute/practicing Art Therapist) for this non-intimidating workshop suitable for anyone interested in learning specific tools and concepts for creating a still life painting.

Many topics will be covered such as, composition, values, color mixing, and spatial relationships. A short slide presentation will show examples of still life paintings from different time periods in art history. Great for beginners and anyone at any level looking to approach and think about painting in perhaps a new way!

Workshop age suggestion: Teen-Adult.

Supplies will be provided which are included in the fee. If you have a favorite brush feel free to bring it with you.

Just in time for Mother’s Day create something special for mom or an heirloom from Mom’s treasure for family members. Most materials will be provided.

A FabuLush Event: An Introduction for FabuLush Hair, LLC

FabuLush Hair, LLC will be hosting A FabuLush Event, a hair showcase from the FabuLush hair line and will also include local entrepreneurs displaying their products/brands as well as the opportunity for those who attend to network and view products that will be on display. Music that evening will be provided by DJ Buddha LuvJonz of LuvJonz Entertainment, LLC.

A FabuLush Event is being sponsored by national magazine, Sheen and will be hosted by model/actor Frantz Menard of Bridgeport, CT. The entertainment will be provided by two performances from R&B singer Avery Wilson of Hamden, CT from NBC’s The Voice, and a special dance performance by Rising Star from the Alvin Ailey Dance Camp of Bridgeport, CT.
