Gleming Apollo

There are only 2 more days to see our current exhibition, Gleaming Apollo, an all -media celebration of, and commentary on Los Angeles as viewed by the community's local emerging artists. Juried by Shula Narazarian.

As one of the oldest surviving non-profit arts organizations in California, Los Angeles Art Association (LAAA) is ideally poised to initiate a community discussion about the emerging artists' view of our shared cultural and civic landscape. Toward that end, we are pleased to announce Gleaming Apollo, an all-media exhibition focused on two central goals: 1) To give local emerging artists the opportunity to comment on LA's cultural and socio-economic landscape 2) To enhance and advance the important role that these emerging artists play in Los Angeles's civic, economic and cultural development. LAAA Executive Director Peter Mays states "LAAA's Gleaming Apollo programming gives local artists a crucial opportunity to explicitly respond to the civic and cultural landscape of today's Los Angeles". Gleaming Apollo is juried by Shula Nazarian, Shulamit Gallery, Venice.
