The Australian Centre for Photography is excited to announce Double Take: A Forum with Brad Buckley and John Conomos in conjunction with Buckley and Conomos' exhibitions The Slaughterhouse Project: Alignment and Boundaries (L’Origine du monde) and I wonder whether that’s Joanna Hiffernan with a Brazilian (revisited) and The Spiral of Time.

Chaired by Nicholas Tsoutas, the speakers Dr Ann Finegan, Dr Alex Gawronski and Professor Ross Harley will engage in a conversation with the artists about their diverse modes of production and their influences in the context of installation art.

Alongside the panel discussion, there will be a free screening program of  films by Alfred Hitchcock and Georges Franju linked to Conomos’ exploration of identity, memory and time.

Artist Monograph - Available now at ACP

Brad Buckley John Conomos

To accompany their Autumn 2013 exhibitions at the Australian Centre for Photography (ACP) – John Conomos’s The Spiral of Time and Brad Buckley’s The Slaughterhouse Project: Alignment and Boundaries (L’Origine du monde) and I wonder whether that’s Joanna Hiffernan with a Brazilian (revisited) â€“ ACP has proudly published the major monograph Brad Buckley John Conomos.

A project of the ACP, edited by the artists and designed by Leanne Barnett of Campbell Barnett, the 368-page monograph comprises some 120 colour plates, a foreword by Kon Gouriotis, an extended interview with the artists by Biljana Jancic and Alex Gawronski, and comprehensive contextual essays by Edward Colless, Brett Levine and A. Andreas Wansbrough.

Published and distributed through ACP, the elegantly designed monograph has been published in a softcover version for $65, and a signed, silver-leaf limited-edition hardcover version, with 50 copies available from $165 to $200.
