Philadelphia: The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen returns to Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square with its second annual May fine craft fair, May 10, 11, & 12. Through a partnership with Friends of Rittenhouse Square and in conjunction with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, this event brings 145 fine craftsmen from across the country and Canada to downtown Philadelphia.
Patrons will enjoy the natural beauty of Rittenhouse Square’s waving canopy of trees and the nearby cafes as they browse through the booths of our independent craftsmen. These craftsmen have made it their passion to elevate everyday functional items into the realm of the visionary.
“We’re a catalyst for a heartfelt movement focused on authentic handmade goods,” said Sherrie Boyer, executive director. “Our craftsmen excel at combining the beautiful and the functional into products that provide inspiration every day.”
All the craft on display is the patient and careful work of the craftsmen behind the booth. It ranges from ceramics, to jewelry, handmade clothing, weaving, artisan furniture and more. This is the ideal event for patrons of the arts and crafts who seek a hand-crafted home with its own individual story.
The Guild’s Fine Craft Fair is free and open to the public. Hours are Friday, 11 am – 7 pm; Saturday, 11 am – 7 pm; and Sunday 11 am – 5 pm.
