UCF THESIS EXHIBITION 2013
Graduating Student Photography from the University of Central Florida (Daytona Beach)
April 30 - July 28, 2013
The class of 2013, each student graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Photography degree from the University of Central Florida, presents here a broad spectrum of photographic imagery. The work has been inspired by topics as varied as fear, flight, fantasy, flags, feminism, and Florida itself.

IRINA ROZOVKSY A Perpetual Hold

This exhibition consists of two series from Irina Rozovsky: This Russia presents Rozovsky's encounter with her native Russia when she returned for the first time in 2008 after leaving there as a child.
In One to Nothing Rozovsky traveled through Israel, finding in the mundane fabric of the everyday life that she encountered in that strife-torn and troubled country the manifestation of the immense and continuing struggle that continues to rage there.

Traveling from London to her birthplace in Eastern Europe Dana Popa recorded the plight of sex-trafficked women from Eastern Europe. Sold by friends, family or even their husbands for sometimes just a few hundred dollars, these women and girls live a tawdry and dangerous life on the fringes and in the shadows of our culture.

NATAN DVIR Eighteen

In this series, Natan Dvir's subjects are 18-year-old Arabs living in Israel. As a photographer born and raised in Israel, Dvir undertook this project to better understand the experience of Arabs coming of age in a country defined by the majority's religion.

MUSEUM LOCATION
Unless noted otherwise, all museum exhibitions, events and films are presented at the Southeast Museum of Photography which is located on the Daytona Beach campus of Daytona State College at 1200 International Speedway Blvd, three miles east of 1-95.
