SCHOLARSHIP CHALLENGE
Art is an exciting and essential part of the learning process and thanks to your tax-deductible donations, the Museum of Florida Art is able to provide Camp Create scholarships to approximately 50 Volusia County children each year who could not otherwise afford to attend and experience this unique, creative learning opportunity.
This year, if you make a donation before May 31, two Museum of Florida Art supporters have generously offered to match Camp Create's Scholarship Fund donations up to $3,500. Please help us achieve this worthy goal. Each gift - no matter what size - will make a difference.
Camp Create has been an essential part of the Museum's summer youth education and enrichment programs since 1951. Engaging children in educational programming at the Museum of Florida Art is a great platform for kids to explore ideas, study art history, learn art vocabulary, and make connections between art and literacy through a variety of art media taught by professional teachers.
Each creative week-long journey will remain with a child for years to come. In addition to making new friends, the Museum's Summer 2013 Camp Create weekly sessions assist children in discovering new interests through observation and cooperation in a variety of age-appropriate activities that focus on how to create stories using the elements of art.
