One of the largest original art events in the world,
featuring eclectic and eccentric work from over 10,000 international artists
and fueled by the enthusiasm of hundreds of thousands of visitors.

Since its inception in 1994 Design Festa has endeavored to 
become the best original art nexus possible. 
With dynamic performances and exhibitions courtesy of a countless multitude of painters,
performers, musicians, bands, acrobats and artists bombarding 
the senses throughout its 2-day duration, this biannual event dramatically increases in size
year after year, attracting participants and visitors from all over the world.

Hosted by the futuristic Tokyo Big Sight, Japan's largest expo venue, Design Festa offers
a truly fantastic insight into the creative energy of a selection of the world's most original
artists, exhibiting from over 3000 booths in an endless variety of styles. 
It's also a great day out for the whole family with playrooms and captivating, 
interactive workshops set aside especially to educate and inspire children!

Area Information:

Booth Area (West Halls, Approximately 3,400 booths)
This area is the main part of the event, containing all genres of expression 
including but not limited to painting, illustration, computer graphics, photography, 
installation, fashion, crafts, interior design and more. Most work on display
available for purchase.
Our Workshop Area is readier than ever to welcome visitors who want to 
participate in interactive arts and crafts!

Indoor Show Stage (Atrium)
A special stage for fashion shows, dance/acrobatic performances and acoustic live sets.

Outdoor Live Stage (Outside of West Hall 2)
Another special stage featuring 20 original bands ranging from rock, punk,
funk and more, this area is a miniature music festival in of itself!

Theater Space (West Hall 4, Dimmed Lighting Area)
Animation, movies and performance and media art on a wide stage beneath a giant
300 inch screen. Enjoy the new layout and atmosphere!

Restaurant and Cafe/Bar Area (West Hall 3, Atrium and Outdoors)
Global cuisine to suit all tastes! 20 international restaurants and
cafe/bars each offer up original culinary creations unique to Design Festa!
