Frere Independent is proud to invite you to the 10th edition of PooL Art Fair New York. The show opens at 3pm on Friday, May 10th. We return for the 2nd time on a row to the renown Flatiron Toshi Hotel. Owned by the Oscar winning celebrity, Toshi, this exceptional Hotel has been, since its opening, a daily destination for talent in New York. It is located at the corner of West 26th street and Broadway.

Led by London based Art Fair, Frieze, this week has grown to be the most anticpated week for art in New York. As Sotheby's and Christie's opened their contemporary art shows last week PooL is joining other fairs such as Pulse and Nada. True to its tradition, the show is the premier exhibition to present predominantly great independent artists who are otherwise not yet represented by a gallery.

"Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Jaime is perhaps best known as 'Ellis' on the NBC television show "Smash". Cepero has starred in New York workshop productions of "The Voice Within," "Harlem Stages" and "The Concubine," as well as the 75th anniversary national tour of "Porgy & Bess." He has also been featured in regional theater productions of "Hair" at the Prince Music Theatre, "Jesus Christ Superstar" at the Alliance Theater Company and Richard Kramer's "Theater District" for the Speakeasy Stage Co. Cepero has voiced commercials for American Eagle Outfitters and has also performed as a backup vocalist for several artists, including Kameko and Tituss Burgess. "

As part of PooL Art Fair New York 2013, Artist Cat Del Buono is looking for volunteers to participate in a Flash-Mob type of art performance in New York on Saturday, May 11th at 12PM (noon). This work is a continuation of an ongoing series of performances entitled "Vanity Unfair." The artist aims to attract attention to conformity and to comment on plastic surgery. Please join us as a performer or spectator on the Upper East Side.

The location is not yet disclosed. Meeting is at 11AM. The event will be over by 12:30pm. Feel free to invite friends.
