Morgan Mecaskey, formerly of the band Tinamou, is a Cleveland-based singer, composer, and instrumentalist. Her EP, Righteous Kind, is a heart and head experience for the listener; reviews note how Mecaskey balances earnest lyrics with vivid soundscapes, whimsical motifs, and fat beats to build a bold and beguiling album. Mecaskey draws inspiration from a wide musical spectrum and her songs feature an immediate indie-rock vibe laced with the folk tones of string and woodwind instruments.
