Asta 61 - Arte moderna e contemporanea

Mercoledì, 22 maggio dalle ore 18.15 avrà luogo la seduta d'asta per la vendita di circa 270 lotti di arte moderna e contemporanea, con opere realizzate nel periodo storico compreso tra i primi del '900 fino ai nostri giorni.
Si evidenziano due nuclei di importanti opere provenienti da prestigiose collezioni private, una napoletana ed una milanese.
Tra le opere va senz'altro notata la museale scultura "Gut V" del famoso artista inglese Antony Gormley. La scultura, eseguita nel 2002 in risposta ad una visita dell'artista a Pompei, è realizzata dentro uno stampo ricavato dal corpo stesso dell'artista: è il risultato dei tentativi di Gormley di effettuare la digitalizzazione del corpo fisico realizzando una struttura compatta, poliedrica, composta da tanti pixel solidi, tridimensionali: cubi da 25 x 25 x 25 mm e parallelepipedi da 25 x 25 x 50 mm. L'opera, è presentata in asta con una valutazione di euro 200.000/300.000.
Va sottolineata inoltre la presenza di un prestigioso dipinto, cm 200x300, del grande artista della Transavanguardia Mimmo Paladino. L'opera, imponente non solo per dimensioni, ma anche per l'alta qualità della fattura, presenta "paesaggi" stratificati di colore, intensamente materici, costellati di figure, ora appena accennate, ora estremamente definite: immagini che rimandano ad un universo arcano e primitivo, dove le forme sono tradotte in segni eleganti e semplificati. L'opera di Paladino, datata 1997, è presentata con una valutazione di euro 100.000/150.000
Verranno inoltre proposte due rappresentative tele di Yayoi Kusama, Dress A e Dress D, entrambe realizzate nel 1996 con vibranti colori ricoperti da accesi pois colorati, e presentate in asta ciascuna con una valutazione di euro 30.000/40.000.
Inoltre in asta un raro acquerello di grandissime dimensioni (cm 238x152 con cornice in legno dorato) di Luigi Ontani, dal titolo giocoso "frutti e putti et pois", realizzato nel 1987. L'opera di grande impatto è proposta in asta con una valutazione di euro 22.000/28.000.
Prestigioso è anche il nucleo di opere serigrafiche di Andy Warhol presenti in questa asta e tutte provenienti dalla Galleria di Lucio Amelio di Napoli. Due le Marilyn del 1967 (una "Black" - stimata 35.000/55.000 euro - ed una "Green" - stimata 50.000/70.000 euro) e una Liz Taylor del 1964 stimata 25.000/30.000 euro - queste tre opere provengono dalla importante collezione di Graziella ed Eugenio Lonardi Buontempo, Napoli - Roma - ed un ritratto di "Mao" - stimato 20.000/30.000 euro, anch'esso acquistato all'epoca dal gallerista napoletano Lucio Amelio.
Va senza dubbio segnalato il "video" Sara walking naked di Julian Opie, realizzato nel 2003, e provvisto di computer film, schermo LCD e PC (stima 20.000/25.000 euro), e poi opere di Jason Martin, Lisa Ruyter, Sislej Xhafa, Victor Man, Shirin Neshat, Spencer Tunick, Andres Serrano, Julio Larraz, Dubossarsky & Vinogradov, Dale Frank, come anche lavori interessanti di Sol LeWitt, Richard Long, Ross Bleckner, Shozo Shimamoto, Hermann Nitsch, Wolf Vostell, Al Hansen, ed opere importanti di artisti italiani come Mimmo Rotella, Piero Gilardi, Mario Schifano, Carla Accardi, Giulio Turcato, Sandro Chia, Turi Simeti, Mario Nigro, Pino Pinelli, Domenico Bianchi e Sergio Fermariello. Molte anche le opere di artisti cinesi come Jiang Zhi, Weng Fen, Huang Yan e tante occasioni di acquisto di interessanti opere di artisti emergenti difficilmente reperibili nelle aste.

Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 6:15 pm, about 270 lots of Modern and Contemporary Art will be auctioned in Napoli at Blindarte.
All artworks in this auction have been executed from the beginning of the XXth century to our days, the great part of which coming from two prestigious private collections, one from Naples and one from Milan. Among these, the remarkable museum sculpture "GUT V" by the British artist, Antony Gormley. The sculpture, executed in 2002, is one of the several pieces that were made in response to the artist's visit to Pompeii, made within a mould taken from the artists' own body. It is an attempt by Gormley to make the digitalisation of the body physical by making a unitary cuboid structure out of solid pixels, 25 x 25 x 25 mm and 25 x 25 x 50 mm blocks. This artwork is estimated 200.000/300.000 Euros.
Another prominent painting by the Transavantgarde artist, Mimmo Paladino. This artwork, imposing not just in its dimension (cm 200x300) but also in the high quality of its manufacture, shows stratified "landscapes" of colours, highly tactile, filled with figures that appear both sketched and well-defined. Images that remind an arcane and primitive universe where the shapes are delineated through elegant and simplified marks. This artwork, dated 1997, is estimated 100.000/150.000 Euros.
Also two representative artworks by Yayoi Kusama, Dress A and Dress D, both executed in 1996, with their bright colours and vibrant dots. Each estimated 30.000/40.000 Euros.
Also a rare, very wide (cm 238x152 with a gilded wooden frame) watercolour by Luigi Ontani will be auctioned, playfully titled "fruits and putti and dots", executed in 1987. The artwork is imposing and estimated 22.000/28.000 Euros.
A remarkable set of prints by Andy Warhol all coming from the Gallery of Lucio Amelio in Naples.
