Direct Democracy: Upcoming Public Programs
MUMA's current exhibition Direct Democracy explores the changing nature of our engagement with the democratic tradition and looks to the emergence of new democratic models. The exhibition reflects contemporary social movements, unrest and the desire for change; modelling key social dynamics and possible futures. Direct Democracy is accompanied by a range of public programs and participatory artist-led events. See below for details.

DAMP: Collaborative Drawing
Saturday 25 May, 2-4pm
Artist collective DAMP invites the audience to collaborate on a large scale drawing using their monumental grey lead pencil sculpture; Untitled Pencil 2010. Facilitated by DAMP this event is free to attend, family friendly and open to all. Working in pairs or larger groups participants will create an ongoing grand drawing; an imaginative space of desire, fun and struggle.

Forum: Real Democracy Australia
Tuesday 4 June, 5.30-7.30pm
Are we part of a global democratic awakening? Isn't it time all Australians had a fair say in the decisions that affect us all? Tim van Gelder from online deliberative democracy platform yourview.org.au will join Direct Democracy exhibiting artist Carl Scrase and other members of Real Democracy Australia in a forum discussion.

Situated on a generous block, 11 Princes Avenue is the last residential property standing within the heart of the Monash University Caulfield campus. A Centre for Everything invite you to a drawing and painting class that will record this "nail house".
