JUNE NEWSLETTER Sven-Ole FRAHM represented by Galerie Richard We are pleased to announce that Galerie Richard is now the France and US representative for German artist Sven-Ole FRAHM. Galerie Richard Paris has been representing the artist since 2007. Sven-Ole FRAHM started to cut out painted canvases and to sew them together. He develops a new role to the canvas as a material to replace the pictorial paint gesture in perfectly composed paintings. Takesada MATSUTANI at Hauser & Wirth, London Hauser & Wirth presents "Takesada MATSUTANI. A Matrix", curated by Midori Nishizawa and organised with Olivier Renaud-Clement. This is Takesada MATSUTANI's first solo show in the United Kingdom.  Exhibition closes on July 27, 2013.    Joseph NECHVATAL at Venice Biennale Joseph NECHVATAL to be featured in "Noise" event at La Biennale di Venezia from June 1st to October 20, 2013.     Christophe AVELLA-BAGUR - "Head" Christophe AVELLA-BAGUR will have several paintings featured in the group show "Head", curated by Robert Curcio at Bosi Contemporary from July 10 until August 11, 2013.   Shirley KANEDA at La Villa Arson La Villa Arson in Nice presents a Noël Dolla exhibition entitled "Entrée libre mais non obligatoire", featuring paintings by Shirley KANEDA from June 30 to October 21, 2013 YANG Yi at Galerie Richard, New York - Until 6/15   "It is about all that we have in common there: our accent, our spicy coriander, the nod we give each other, a friendly signal to say hello when we pass one another on the street, these streets that we have traveled alongside our ancestors, that have herded us along together... this series was created for all of that. It will be my personal memoir." - YANG Yi     Bram BOGART at Galerie Richard, Paris - Until 6/1   Bram BOGART not only brought physical three-dimensionality to painting, but also created a sense of pictorial mass. He shows painting simultaneously as material and representation. The paint holds its own form, freed from the traditional framed canvas. BOGART never ceased to experiment with the relationships between material, colors and composition in painting. The return to the material in painting by young painters in New York, California, Berlin and France renders Bogart more contemporary than ever. His works are also distinctive by the quality of their compositions which allow him to experiment new expressive ways and combinations.   Hervé HEUZÉ  PARIS  6/8 - 7/20 Galerie Richard Paris presents the sixth Hervé Heuzé solo show at the gallery entilted Attente. In a blue, flat and infinite desert landscape, ruins of stone and concrete blocks, demolished arches, attest of human constructions. Figuration appears as young lonesome woman who might look as floating ghosts due to their very long dresses.
