Over the last three weeks, Iâve been asking people all over the world, âWhatâs your limitation?â Iâm gathering these stories and writing them on a 9x13 canvas that will soon become a picture completely made out of text. Here is the most recent photo of this piece:

These stories of what limits us quickly became a portrait of our culture, a collection of the core human experiences in religion, sexuality, family, self-image, illness, abuse, and everything in between. A deeper look at this project on CNN Opinion: http://www.cnn.com/2013/06/02/opinion/hansen-art-limits/index.html?hpt=op_t1
So what do people get out of participating in this art experience? Perhaps they will find solace in seeing that they are not as alone in their limitations, but rather that hundreds of others are struggling with the same limitations. Or perhaps they will find new perspectives that inspire the outlook of their limitations.
As I enter the last week of this project, I hope to share this public art experience with your audience. Anyone can share your story and be part of art at www.philinthecircle.com.
A successfully funded Kickstarter project with 5 days left to go will in turn capture this experience in a short documentary: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1254227356/a-collaborative-art-experience-capturing-stories-i
