ANONYMOUS GALLERY is pleased to colaborate with MAKEBISH to announce a mixed media installation by Wendy White entitled, ‘Sports Moment’. In these brand new works, the artist expands her ‘mash-up’ vocabulary with a juxtaposition of iconography revolving around the shared dynamics of team sports and 19th century gang culture of downtown New York.
Wendy White was born in Deep River, CT. She earned a B.F.A. from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a M.F.A. from Rutgers University. White has had solo exhibitions at Leo Koenig Inc., New York; Maruani & Noirhomme, Brussels; Galeria Moriarty, Madrid; Van Horn, Düsseldorf; and Andrew Rafacz Gallery, Chicago and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in the US and abroad. Her work is currently on view in New York in XSTRACTION at The Hole and in After Hours 2: Murals on the Bowery in collaboration with the New Museum and The Art Production Fund. White lives and works in New York City and is represented by Leo Koenig, Inc.
