Malcolm Braff Trio is an excellent trio centred around the Switzerland-based pianist Malcolm Braff and features Shane Cooper on double bass and Kesivan Naidoo on drums. The trio will perform at the National Arts Festival, in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Swaziland.
Cooper and Naidoo will also provide the rhythm section for Swiss musicians Marc Stucki (tenor sax) and Andreas Tschopp (trombone) as they form the JazzWerkstatt Quartet. The quartet is the result of musical collaborations between South African and Swiss musicians at the JazzWerkstatt Festival 2012 in Berne.
