GIVE PROPS TO GAY FASHION LEADERS!
As a Museum subscriber and insider, you are invited to be among the first supporters of our groundbreaking exhibition: A Queer History of Fashion: From the Closet to the Catwalk.
Our major museum exhibition this fall explores the "queerness" of fashion and how LGBTQ people have contributed so significantly to fashion. Featuring fashion worn or designed by icons from Marlene Dietrich and Andy Warhol to Yves Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen, this exhibition explores the historic presence of LGBTQ people in fashion. It also looks at the creativity and resistance to oppression expressed by LGBTQ subcultural styles. The exhibition opens on September 13, 2013 and runs until January 4, 2014.
PLEDGE YOUR SUPPORT TODAY!
Pledge level rewards range from a T-shirt designed by the Museum at FIT to a pair of tickets to our opening night reception! We have until July 28, 2013 to meet our funding goal. Please join us in inviting your friends and colleagues to contribute to this unprecedented look at LGBTQ fashion.
