Capture/Release: A Celebration in Honor of Lar Lubovitch

Co-presented by LMCC, Pace University, VisionIntoArt and Lar Lubovitch Dance Company, as part of the River To River Festival 2013.

Immerse yourself in CAPTURE/RELEASE, an evening of five newly composed works, including one music world premiere and two dance world premieres, with Lar Lubovitch and his critically acclaimed Dance Company, in honor of his 45th Anniversary with the Company and his 50th year in dance. Featuring live performances by Ransom Wilson’s acclaimed group, Le Train Bleu, with special guests: vocalist Helga Davis, violinist Cornelius Dufallo, Ian David Rosenbaum, marimba, percussionist Pablo Rieppi, and former Kronos Quartet cellist Jeffrey Zeigler.

This ONE NIGHT only event will feature:

a world premiere choreographed by L.L.D.C. leading dancer Katarzyna Skarpetowska to the multimedia work,
Listen, Quiet,  in collaboration with composer Paola Prestini.
