WINTER SEASON


The 2013 Winter Season has got off to a flying start. Featuring the works of Australian artists Pat Brassington and Robert Besanko, as well as renowned American Photojournalist David Burnett. Check out the interview David did with ABC Radio National while he was in Sydney. Uncensored Reportage is also showing here, presenting the entire uncut selection of images that were set to feature at Reportage Festival this year. The Winter Season will be open until 18 August 2013.

BEAUTY RETOUCHING


**NEW COURSE**

This course covers both the foundation and advanced techniques required to achieve flawless, luminous skin, as well as giving you total control over every single pixel in your files. Dealing primarily with beauty and portrait retouching, you will achieve the highest level of mastery over the finest details in your photos, as well as both the colour and luminosity balance, resulting in an exceptionally flawless finish.

CAMERA CRAFT 1, 2 & 3


ACP's Camera Craft courses are a series of introductory photography classes covering the foundations of SLR photography. Camera Craft 1 is ACP's most popular introductory course combining technical tuition, practical assignments and group discussion, helping students to use an SLR camera with confidence and skill. Camera Craft 2 and Camera Craft 3 build on the skills learned in Camera Craft 1.

AVAILABLE LIGHT PORTRAITURE


Where there is light you can have photography. In this specialist course with Marco Bok you will look at the use of ambient light in photographic portraiture by considering arresting examples from the history of photography and painting. Learn to understand the direction, quality and colour of light on the subject and surrounds in terms of atmosphere and mood.

SUNDAY SESSIONS: PHOTOJOURNALISM


As part of the new, monthly, FREE Sunday Sessions events, ACP photojournalism tutor Glenn Lockitch will be giving a talk on some of his photographic work and experiences on Sunday 7 July from 2-4pm.

Glenn has been involved in photography and the media for 22 years, primarily working as an independent social documentary, human rights and environmental photojournalist in Australia and overseas.

PHOTOGRAPHY SYMPOSIUM

Art Gallery of NSW | Sat 27 Jul, 11am – 3.20pm
 
Modernist bodies will consider the ways in which photographic practice informed and reflected modernity in Australia. In particular, it will address the role of the medium in shaping ideas of Australian nationalism in the interwar years, during which major interdisciplinary exchanges informed experimental photographic depictions of the body that articulated ideas of race, gender and identity.
